The Bruins are off to a 3-2 start and look to get back to their winning ways this week. UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen is second in the Pac-12 in passing yards with 1,515.
They bounced back after their Week 4 loss to defeat Arizona 45-24 last week. Rosen threw for 350 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and rushed for another to give the Bruins their first Pac-12 victory of the season.
Bruins receiver Kenneth Walker III had four catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the game. Receiver Darren Andrews had 9 catches for 108 receiving yards as well. Andrews rushed for a 26-yard score in the game as well.
The Bruins will need a similar offensive performance to get by the Sun Devils this week. They lost last season’s meeting 38-23.
The Arizona State Sun Devils are 4-1 on the season, dropping their first game of the season last week to the USC Trojans. It was the first game of the season that the Sun Devils didn’t score over 30 points.
The Sun Devils lost 41-20 to USC after giving up 523 total yards of offense to the Trojans. Quarterback Manny Wilkins threw for just 148 passing yards and an interception. The Sun Devils managed to record just 75 rushing yards.
Running back Nick Ralston had 12 carries for 46 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Arizona State allows 35.6 points per game on defense, 108th in the FBS, and 503.8 yards per game, last in the Pac-12.
If the Sun Devils hope to win over the Bruins, they’ll need to do it by forcing some turnovers.
