UCLA's defense is obviously suffering because of injured stars

UCLA entered its game vs. Arizona State undefeated, expected to make a run at the College Football Playoff if momentum continued.

Instead, UCLA's defense allowed 38 points -- including one of the most embarrassing plays of the season during ASU running back Kalen Ballage's improbable touchdown run. The Bruins seemed both exhausted and outworked during the play, emblematic of the way the defense has looked without stars like Myles Jack, Fabian Moreau and Eddie Vanderdoes.

“Every player has strengths and weaknesses,” said Mora, according to the OC Register. “When you eliminate certain players from the puzzle, it has to fit together a little bit differently for it to work.”
