UNC Football: Jersey combination against Virginia Tech
UNC has revealed its jersey combination for Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech
The No. 17 North Carolina Tar Heels are getting set for a big game in Chapel Hill on Saturday.
Saturday’s matchup against the No. 25 Virginia Tech Hokies is a big one in terms of ACC Coastal Division standings. If UNC wins, it will be five-straight for the Tar Heels and give them at least a game advantage in the standings.
If the Hokies win, they will have at least a share of first place depending on what the Miami Hurricanes do against the Florida State Seminoles.
When the Tar Heels host the Hokies, they will be doing it in style.
The UNC equipment crew released the official jersey combination for Saturday’s game using the theme of “We are the storm” and a graphic of Mitch Trubisky in the rain. It was posted on both Twitter and Instagram, but has since been taken down.
We are guessing that the storm theme wasn’t a good idea with Hurricane Matthew getting set to rip across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
That picture shows the Tar Heels wearing blue helmets, blue jerseys and white pants. It’s the combination the Tar Heels wore in their week one loss to Georgia as well.
Either way it looks like UNC will be going with that combination as the equipment team confirmed via Twitter:

Here’s how the Tar Heels have fared with combos this season.
It’s the only uniform combination the Tar Heels have lost in this season, so hopefully they can turn it around.
In addition, the Tar Heels are going with some awesome white sidelines in their field design this weekend. You can view that below:
