UNC Football: Nick Weiler reads mean tweets
UNC kicker Nick Weiler reads some tweets directed at him following his big kick against Florida State
When North Carolina kicker Nick Weiler nailed a 54-yard field goal on Saturday against the Florida State Seminoles, it put a smile on Tar Heels fans faces.
The same can’t be said for Seminoles fans however.
As Weiler ran down the field and did the Tomahawk Chop, many Seminoles fans had stunned looks on their faces. Many also went on Twitter to let out their frustrations.
A lot of those frustrations were directed at Seminoles defensive coordinator Charles Kelly. But there were some directed at Weiler.
The UNC athletics department decided to have some fun with some of those Twitter users, bringing Weiler in for a special segment.
Check out the UNC kicker reading some “Mean Tweets” about himself:
We love @NickWeiler24!

As you can see, some of those are pretty bad and likely from some upset Seminoles fans. The video does not include the Twitter accounts that actually tweeted these tweets.
Our favorite was from the Florida Gators fan who tweeted about Weiler. The fan told Weiler that he’s welcome in Gainesville anytime he wants. Have to love that rivalry.
While some might not like Weiler’s celebration, it’s all fun and games. In the end it’s just a game.
The Tar Heels are preparing to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday in a big ACC Game for the standings. Check back with Keeping It Heel for more on upcoming Tar Heels’ games.
