UNC Football: Photos from Saturday's loss to Virginia Tech
Photos from Saturday’s game between UNC and Virginia Tech in Chapel Hill
Sigh.
Saturday was just a complete disaster for the North Carolina Tar Heels against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
The weather sucked, the Tar Heels played awful and now the loss has put a big hit into UNC’s chances to return to the ACC Championship Game.
Despite a few turnovers early on, UNC’s defense managed to hold the Hokies to just six points for most of the first half. However, a touchdown at the end of the half gave the Hokies a 13-3 lead.
UNC’s offense couldn’t do anything as the offensive line got bullied at the line of scrimmage, not giving Mitch Trubisky enough time back there. Mustering only 3 points, it was UNC’s worst offensive output in years.
The loss was a tough one, but we have to move on. There’s still a chance UNC can reach the ACC Championship Game but they will need some help.

As you can see, there wasn’t much to celebrate on Saturday as the conditions were awful all day long. But the fans stuck around for most of the game, despite the terrible conditions.
UNC will now get ready to play a Miami team that suffered a heartbreaking loss to Florida State on Saturday. If the Tar Heels want any shot at making it back to the ACC Championship Game, they will need to beat Miami on Saturday.
