UNC Football: UNC fans can help the Tar Heels earn #StreitCred
A UNC victory at Miami could earn the Tar Heels #StreitCred
Kirk Herbstreit, college football’s most recognizable commentator, has teamed up with Allstate for the second straight year to help recognize the strongest team performances across the NCAA each week.
“Allstate shares its enthusiasm for college football with the millions of fans across the country, and #StreitCred is our way of celebrating the passion and loyalty they bring to the sport and have for their team,” said Dan Keats, director of product marketing for Allstate. “Partnering with Kirk Herbstreit on this program gives fans a voice, and allows them to show pride in their teams through weekly validation from the number one expert analyst in college football.”
The Allstate sponsored initiative allows fans to vote for their team online using the hashtag “StreitCred”. Herbstreit then announces one #StreitCred winner each week.
“#StreitCred is all about celebrating the fans and the moments that make college football great,” Herbstreit said in a press release from Allstate. “I’m looking forward to working with Allstate again to recognize the most deserving teams and help tell the story beyond the rankings.”

On Saturday North Carolina faces off against ACC Coastal Division rival Miami in Coral Gables. With a win, the Tar Heels would improve their record to 5-2 on the season, including a 3-1 mark in conference play.
Both teams are looking to rebound from tough losses last weekend. The Tar Heels got rocked at home in a rain-soaked game against Virginia Tech, while the Hurricanes lost a heart-breaker to in-state rival Florida State.
