USC AD Pat Haden sent UCLA's Myles Jack letter wishing speedy recovery

Published Oct. 6, 2015 1:32 p.m. ET

UCLA and USC are crosstown rivals; that didn't stop USC Athletic Director Pat Haden from showing love to now-former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack.

Jack, who was one of the most exciting players in the country when playing for UCLA, suffered a knee injury that ended both his season and his college career. Haden might be the athletic director for UCLA's biggest rival, but his message showed incredible classiness and much respect for the young talent.

The letter reads:

"I have admired the way you play the game of football for the past three years. You have proven yourself to be one of the Pac-12’s best players for sure. Your play and leadership have been amazing. I was sorry to hear about your recent injury and wish you a speedy recovery. Get well soon!"
