Utah coach on Devontae Booker: 'We expect a 100-yard guy every week'

Utah Utes running back Devontae Booker said he wanted to rush for 2,000 yards this season. He's off to a slow start, recording 69 yards on 22 carries vs. Michigan.

Booker averaged 3.1 yards per carry, recording one touchdown. He also added seven receptions for 55 yards, bringing his total yards in the game to 124. This is a slightly more accurate representation of his effectiveness.

But coach Kyle Whittingham made it clear in his weekly press conference that he expects more from Booker.

"We expect him to be a 100-yard guy every week," said Whittingham. "We expect him to do a better job. It wasn’t because of a lack of touches, he had 29 with carries and receptions combined, but we have to do a better job."
