Utah DE Hunter Dimick eyeing mayoral seat of 'Sack Lake City'

Published Aug. 31, 2015 1:38 p.m. ET

Last year it was Nate Orchard. This year could be Hunter Dimick.

The 6-foot-3 defensive end who is nicknamed "Snacks" is looking to keep Utah's good name going when it comes to sacks.

The Utes last year led the nation in sacks per game. Orchard, now with the Cleveland Browns, was the sack master last season. Dimick is looking to follow in his footsteps.

“I think so,” said Dimick when asked if he wanted to be the mayor via the Deseret News. “We’ll see. I’m cool with whatever nickname I get, honestly. But that would be a good one to get.”

The mayoral campaign begins Thursday vs. Michigan.
