Vandy lands commitment from DT Drew Birchmeier

After visiting the Vanderbilt campus over the weekend, defensive lineman Drew Birchmeier, out of Midlothian, VA, committed to the Commodores, making him the eighth member in the program's 2016 class. 

Birchmeier is listed at 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, and according to 247 Sports, he was one of the top performers at Vanderbilt's Friday Night Lights Camp before committing. The site has him ranked as the No. 60 defensive tackle in the country.
