Vandy's over/under win total released

Published Jun. 3, 2015 5:57 p.m. ET

Online betting site 5-Dimes has released their over/under win totals for all 128 FBS teams, and they have Vanderbilt's line set at just three wins in 2015. The three projected wins are by far the fewest in the SEC, with Kentucky being the next closest at an over/under of six wins.

The Commodores won just three games total last season and went winless in conference play, where they will again have their work cut out for them in the perennially deep SEC. The 2015 schedule includes just two opponents that had a losing record last year, those being Austin Peay and Kentucky.

That said, Vanderbilt is entering its second season under coach Derek Mason, who generated modest improvement over the course of the 2014 season. The Commodores also return three of the four quarterbacks who saw significant playing time last year and have a solid offensive line to complement an experienced running back corps.

In order to exceed their over/under total, the offense likely will need to lead the way while the program as a whole takes a step forward.
