Vick has 180 total yards, 2 TDs; Ohio beats Kent State 27-0

ATHENS, Ohio (AP) Derrius Vick had 180 total yards and two touchdowns, and Ohio beat Kent State 27-0 on Tuesday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

Ohio was ahead 10-0 midway through the third quarter when Jovon Johnson made an interception on Kent State's trick play. Two plays later, Vick scored on a 7-yard sneak.

Vick was 7-of-13 passing for 73 yards and had 22 carries for 107 yards for Ohio (6-4, 3-3 Mid-American). The Bobcats rushed for 333 yards and had their first shutout since 2013.

Ohio scored a touchdown on the third play of the game when Vick found a wide open Sebastian Smith for 49 yards. In the fourth, JD Sprague connected with Jordan Reid for a 41-yard score.

George Bollas passed for 111 yards with two interceptions for Kent State (3-7, 2-4). The Golden Flashes had just eight first downs and were outgained 447 to 191.
