Virginia Tech's Fuller declares for NFL Draft

Virginia Tech corner Kendall Fuller announced he’s ready to make the jump to the next level as he declared for the NFL Draft on Tuesday.

Fuller, a 6-foot, 196-pound junior, rose to stardom in 2014 when he made several all-America teams, but had most of his 2015 season wiped out when he tore a meniscus in his knee.

For his career, Fuller has started 28 of 29 contests, making 119 tackles and picking off eight passes.

Fuller will become the fourth member of his family to play in the NFL, joining Corey (WR) and Kyle (DB), along with Vincent, a former safety.

"Virginia Tech is better because the Fuller brothers were Hokies," Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer said in a statement. "Vinny, Corey, Kyle and Kendall were all different, but they were all the same in that they were smart, competitive, very athletic and great teammates, who possessed great character."
