WATCH: Blue Devils gash Hoosier defense with long TD runs

After falling behind 3-0 early, Indiana looked primed to at least tie Duke early in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Then a couple of plays put the Hoosiers in a 10-0 hole instead.

First came one by Duke linebacker Dwayne Norman, who was in the right spot at the right time and grabbed a Nate Sudfeld pass after it went through the hands of his intended receiver.

One play later, Duke running back Shaun Wilson burst up the middle and outran the Hoosier defense for an 85-yard touchdown run that gave the Blue Devils a two-score lead.

Indiana countered with a pair of touchdown drives to take a 14-10 lead late in the second quarter, but that would not last long.

Duke quarterback Thomas Sirk gashed the Hoosiers defense on a 73-yard run -- again up the middle -- to put the Blue Devils back on top only 25 seconds later.

Indiana wasn't done yet, though, as the Hoosiers were able to tie the game at 17 with a field goal before the teams headed to the locker rooms.

That set the stage for a wild second half that saw the teams trade the lead multiple times before going to overtime.

The Blue Devils prevailed in the extra session when Indiana's Griffin Oakes' field goal was ruled no good. That would have tied it, but instead Duke won 44-41.
