WATCH: MSU scores 2 big man TDs in 8 seconds, punches ticket to Big Ten title game
Penn State hung around for a while in its attempt to upset Michigan State on Saturday, but the Spartans ran away with it in the fourth quarter.
In what might be an unprecedented feat, Michigan State got touchdowns from two different linemen in the span of less than 10 seconds of game action to put the game way out of reach.
First there was Malik McDowell, a defensive lineman who grabbed a ball that had deflected off a teammate and rumbled into the end zone untouched for a score that made it 48-16 with 9:56 left in the game.
Then after Penn State's Koa Farmer fumbled the ensuing kickoff, the Spartans got the ball back at the Nittany Lions 9-yard line.
With the game well in hand, the MSU coaches decided to have some fun, putting Jack Allen -- the team's starting center -- in the backfield. But he wasn't there to be a lead blocker.
Allen took a handoff and followed a clear path into the end zone for every offensive lineman's dream: a legitimate touchdown run.
