Watch: S.C. State kick return gaffe leads to Clemson TD

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Saturday has been a a bad day for South Carolina State, predictably...and otherwise.

With heavily favored Clemson leading 14–0 just 10 minutes or so into the first quarter, matters were made worse as the Tigers kicked off following their second touchdown of the day.

S.C. State returner Ahmaad Harris did not have his wits about him in this particular scenario, catching the ball in the end zone, forgetting to kneel for a touchback, tossing the (very much live) football toward a referee, then remembering it was live, then trying to dive on it, then getting tackled by a bunch of Clemson players, losing the ball...and yeah.
