WATCH: So. Miss receiver does his best Beckham Jr. impression

In both the NFL and the college football ranks, making spectacular one-handed catches are becoming more and more prevalent.

Perhaps the leader in this capacity is current New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Using tremendous hand-eye coordination, Beckham is able to pluck the ball out of the air -- seemingly with ease -- as he contorts his body and throws up a mammoth-sized hand for the grab. 

Following suit on Saturday, Southern Miss wideout Mike Thomas displayed a similar style of catch against Louisiana Tech. 

Falling backward into the end zone, Thomas extended his arm and made a ridiculous one-handed catch for a touchdown. 

It truly was one of the most impressive catches we've seen during the 2015 season.
