WATCH: Stanford's McCaffrey adds to Heisman résumé with first career TD pass

Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey is best known as one of the nation's best running backs. However, the No. 11 Cardinal decided to show off McCaffrey's abilities as a quarterback on Saturday against Colorado in Boulder.

Holding a 35-10 lead early in the fourth quarter, McCaffrey took a snap out of the wildcat formation. Instead of running the ball, the sophomore sensation dropped back and ran right before finding tight end Austin Hooper streaking down the field.

McCaffrey dropped a beautiful dime right over Colorado's defense, and Hooper did the rest. The 28-yard touchdown pass was the first pass of McCaffrey's career, and it helped Stanford take down Colorado 42-10.

The Stanford RB ended the day with 220 all-purpose yards (147 rushing, 15 receiving, 58 returning) and the touchdown pass. He now has 2,170 all-purpose yards this season, the most in the nation.
