WATCH: Texas A&M hype video showcases aggressive, hard-hitting defense
Under first-year defensive coordinator John Chavis, Texas A&M has transformed from one of the most soft defensive units in the country to a hard-nosed, fast and physical unit that plays with aggression and anger on the field.
Lost on the casual college football fan, despite suffering the loss to Alabama, the Aggies' defense only have up 20 offensive points to the Tide and played well enough to win the game. Had the offense not surrendered 21 points via interceptions returned for touchdown, A&M would likely be undefeated heading into Oxford this weekend.
If the A&M defense can continue to play at a high level and help the team get a victory against Ole Miss, the Aggies would jump the Rebels in the West standing and be an Alabama SEC loss away from controlling its division destiny.
