Wayne Gallman listed as a starter against Florida State
Wayne Gallman suffered a concussion against NC State two weeks ago. The hit was declared legal by officials, however, majority of outsiders would agree that it was targeting. Gallman admits losing consciousness
After being held out of practice during the Clemson Tigers bye week, Gallman is cleared to play against FSU. Clemson recently released their depth chart heading into the Florida State game and Wayne Gallman is listed as a starter.
This is huge news for the Tigers. Wayne Gallman provides Clemson with a physical presence that few other backs on the team can. Gallman is not the heaviest back on the roster at 6’0, 210 lbs; however, he runs with an unmatched tenacity.

More from Rubbing the Rock
It is important that Clemson get the ball to Gallman early and often. The more effective Gallman is running the football, the more men Florida State will have to dedicate to the box. Once this happens, Deshaun Watson will be able to take shots down the field against the Noles man-to-man coverage. The Seminoles secondary is depleted with the loss of Nate Andrew and Derwin James. I’ll take Clemson’s recievers in one on one situations any day.
