Weber State extends Hill through 2023 season
(STATS) - Weber State extended coach Jay Hill's contract by two years through the 2023 season Wednesday.
Hill, 42, has led the Wildcats to a 26-22 record and two playoff appearances in his first four seasons. This year, they're enjoying their best season ever by claiming a share of the Big Sky title and a school-record 11 wins as they head into a quarterfinal-round matchup at James Madison on Friday night.
Hired in December 2013, Hill signed a five-year contract extension last January. The new extension makes him the Wildcats' coach for the next six seasons.
"I'm so excited about our football program and the direction we are heading," Hill said. "The Weber State administration has been dedicated to helping us get to where we all wanted to be and their support has been awesome. I am so happy for the players, coaches and the Weber State community and I'm thrilled to build on what we've accomplished."
