West Virginia prepares for grueling October schedule

While West Virginia's 3-0 start has been extremely promising, their opponents have not been. The Mountaineers have topped 40 points in all three contests and limited their foes to under 20, but in October, the real games will begin.

First up is Oklahoma. But the Big 12 gauntlet doesn't end there.

After the Sooners, it's three ranked teams: Oklahoma State, TCU and Baylor. Yikes.

“You don’t really want to talk about four games, but if you just look at where they are ranking-wise and where they are in the national spotlight and you look ahead, you go, ‘Wow, that’s a pretty good gamut,’ ” said safeties coach and special teams coordinator Joe DeForest.

Indeed it is, coach. Time to find out what the Mountaineers are made of.
