West Virginia vs Texas Tech live stream: Watch Mountaineers vs Red Raiders online
Here’s how you can watch Saturday afternoon’s West Virginia vs Texas Tech game from Lubbock online.
After a 4-0 start and some close calls, the West Virginia Mountaineers have jumped to No. 20 in the latest rankings. They’re about four points away from being 2-2, however, with a three-point victory over BYU and one-point win against Kansas State.
Still, West Virginia is having a nice season following an unranked start. Senior quarterback Skyler Howard has been an important piece to the quick start, passing for 1,272 yards and seven touchdowns with four interceptions — averaging 318 passing yards per game. Shelton Gibson has been his top target.
Justin Crawford leads the run game with 331 yards and two touchdowns on 5.5 yards per carry, but it’s still too early to tell what this team’s true identity is.
If Texas Tech had a defense and/or was a team that could contend for the Big 12 title or the College Football Playoff, there’s no way Patrick Mahomes would be left off the Heisman ballot. However, that’s exactly what we are witnessing with a defense that can’t stop anyone, leading to a 4-2 record.
Mahomes has led the top passing offense in the nation through six weeks with some incredible numbers. The junior quarterback has passed for 2,274 yards and 22 touchdowns with just four interceptions and a 72 percent completion rate. He has also rushed for 162 yards and seven more scores.
Jonathan Giles has been his top target, catching 35 passes for 614 yards and seven touchdowns. Eight other pass-catchers have accounted for over 100 yards receiving which has made up for a nearly non-existent rushing attack.
