Why you should be excited about tonight's Louisville football game
Louisville football is set to take the field against the Charlotte 49ers tonight at 7:00pm in Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium.
It’s finally here. Louisville football fans around the country have been waiting for nine months to see their team take the field. The Cardinals come into this season as the 19th ranked team in the country, according to the 2016 preseason AP Poll. Expectations are high and here is why you should be excited about tonight’s game against the 49ers.
There is no feeling like the feeling everyone gets right before the first game of the college football season. The great thing about every team in NCAA football is that they control their own destiny. While that only holds true for one team every season, this is the time of the year where every fan and every team can dream big.
This is going to be Louisville’s easiest win of the 2016 season. Charlotte has played only one power-five team in their program’s history and that was the University of Kentucky last season. The Wildcats put up 58 points in their November win over the 49ers.
If Kentucky can put up 58 points against Charlotte, be ready for Petrino’s squad to put up some big time statistics in this match-up. Lamar Jackson won’t play the whole way through tonight, but you better believe he will shine when he does play. Charlotte has never faced a quarterback like Jackson.
You should be excited about tonight’s game because there will be big play after big play occurring for the Cardinals. This team is ready to unleash on the ACC this season. Unfortunately for Charlotte, they will have to take Louisville’s initial outburst of fire to start the season.
Louisville is going to win big in this one. That may even be an understatement. Therefore, just sit back, relax, and enjoy this offensive domination from the Cardinals.
