Will Adams share Eastern Washington's secrets with Oregon?
No one knows more about Eastern Washington than new Oregon QB Vernon Adams. After all, he spent three years at the helm of the team.
Adams could spend the next week filling in his teammates on how to contain certain wide receivers or how to attack certain coverages; however, head coach Mark Helfrich says that Adams will likely keep that information to himself.
"We're going to focus on us," Helfrich said, according to Andrew Greif of The Oregonian. "We're certainly going to look at them from a schematic standpoint and they're coached really well and all their principles, and the size and strength and all that. But once you start to think too much about what they're doing, that's when you lose sight of what your true focus should be."
Adams' new teammates same to be taking a similar tone.
"I think a lot of guys are trying to leave that aspect alone as far as asking him about them because that's kind of tough on him," junior receiver Bralon Addison said, according to Greif. "He's so close with guys that are still on that team and he and his coach had a close relationship. I think that's a touchy subject, in my own opinion."
