Will WR coach Matt Lubick replace Scott Frost as Oregon's OC?

Published Dec. 2, 2015 6:20 p.m. ET

With former Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost off to UCF to be its next head coach, the Ducks find themselves in a position to hire a new offensive coordinator.

Traditionally, the Ducks have promoted from within when it comes to major hires. With that said, it should come as no surprise that current Oregon wide receivers coach Matt Lubick emerged as the popular front-runner to replace him on Twitter.

Lubick is extremely well-regarded as an assistant coach and he brings a rock-solid resume as the Oregon wide receiver coach and passing game coordinator. Oregon's group of wide receivers have become a source of strength under Lubick and he is also an extremely good recruiter.

Before coming to Oregon ahead of the 2013 season, Lubick served as an assistant coach at Arizona State, Oregon State and Duke.
