WR Charles Nelson still injured, but plans to be available for opener

Published Aug. 25, 2015 4:28 p.m. ET

Sophomore wide receiver Charles Nelson left practice last week with an undisclosed lower body injury. While he left practice on crutches, Nelson says he has yet to use the crutches again. However, he has still yet to return to practice.

When asked if he would be available for Oregon's season opener on Sept. 5, Nelson said that he's doing everything he can to make that happen.

"That's the plan," Nelson said, according to The Oregonian's Andrew Greif. "I'm doing as much as I can in the treatment room to get back 100 percent."
