WR Collins Moore granted sixth year of eligibility by NCAA

Published Dec. 17, 2015 1:10 p.m. ET

Ole Miss receiver Collins Moore has been granted a sixth year by the NCAA -- and will return to Oxford in 2016 -- per his Twitter page.

A native of Alabama, Moore had been plagued both a knee injury and shoulder ailments throughout his career at Ole Miss. His participation this year has been limited to two catches for 19 yards. Prior to that, he missed the entire 2014 season.

Much of Moore's value has come on special teams. He was tied for the team lead in punt return attempts in 2015.

While Moore may not be an integral member of the team going forward, his experience could be a boon when it comes to mentoring younger players on the squad.
