Australian golfer and two-time cancer survivor hits hole-in-one on PGA Tour

Australian PGA pro Jarrod Lyle had himself a day during his opening round of the weekend at the RACV Royal Pines Resort. The 35-year-old Lyle hit an ace on the par-three fifth hole of the course on Thursday, leading to a really cool moment.

Not only is it neat to see any sort of ace -- most people go their entire life without drilling a hole-in-one -- but this one is a bit extra special since Lyle has had to overcome some extremely difficult obstacles in life.

In 1999, the golfer was diagnosed with leukemia at age 19, leading to intense chemotherapy sessions and a lengthy residency at Royal Children’s Hospital. Ultimately, he was able to beat the disease and start his career on the PGA Tour, but the cancer came back in 2012 and he had to fight through it again.

Now, in 2016, he's healthy again, and still apparently quite awesome at golf. Good for him.
