Ernie Els hits ball directly in the hole from 160 yards
Ernie Els has 19 career PGA Tour wins to his name, fifth among active players (or fourth if you exclude Tiger Woods, who is out indefinitely), but he hasn't won worldwide since the European Tour's BMW International Open three years ago. Els shot the best score of the day Saturday (65) to put himself in the final group at Woods' Quicken Loans National at Congressional Country Club - and the highlight of the round was an absolutely perfect shot on the par-4 12th hole.
Els flew an iron straight in the hole from 160 yards, and went on to birdie the 14th hole and complete a bogey-free round at six-under par. The Big Easy will play his final round alongside leader Billy Hurley III, who has a two-shot lead on the field at 15-under.
Thanks for all the support. Was great playing with @BillHaasPGA for first 3 days! @QLNational
