Instagram beauty Paige Spiranac has rough pro golf debut in Dubai Ladies Masters
She may be the fancy of plenty of folks on Instagram and Twitter, but former San Diego State golfer Paige Spiranac has a way to go to make an impression as a pro.
Spiranac received an invite to the Dubai Ladies Masters tournament this weekend. Her stay proved short, however, as rounds of 77 and 79 left her closer to the bottom of the pack and one of those who missed the cut.
In fact, Spiranac's score was only better than three players in the event.
Spiranac has more than 500,000 followers on Instagram and 56,000-plus followers on Twitter.
Her effort did leave her with a request for her legion of followers:
"Please be nice to me," the 22-year-old told ladieseuropeantour.com after the first round. "I know a 77 is not the best score, but I broke 80, and I know people were putting bets on it. They were saying I wasn't going to, so at least I got that going for me!"
