Jason Day is on a historic, Tiger-like run entering the Masters
Earlier this month Jason Day revealed that he called up former world No. 1 Tiger Woods to ask how Woods managed to dominate week-in and week-out during his heyday. Whatever advice Woods gave to Day, who will become the new world No. 1 this week, seems to be working.
One week after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill wire-to-wire, Jason Day shook off a scary back injury early in the week and beat Rory McIlroy and Louis Oosthuizen Sunday to claim his second career match play title. Day needed all 18 holes to beat the third-seeded McIlroy in a classic battle, but dominated Oosthuizen 5 & 4 in the final round.
Just a few weeks ago Day was fielding questions about his early season slump - he took a few months off following the President's Cup - but now the Australian looks unstoppable. His win at the WGC-Dell Match Play Championship was Day's sixth in his last 13 starts worldwide, a streak that includes his first major championship last fall.

Day will not be playing next week in Houston, meaning his 13-tournament run to enter the Masters will match a certain four-time green jacket winner.
