Lindsey Vonn on Tiger Woods: 'I loved him and I still love him'
Lindsey Vonn maintains that she still loves Tiger Woods despite the couple's split in May.
“I mean, I loved him and I still love him,” she said.
The Olympic skier was making an appearance on CNN’s Alpine Edge Show when she made the comments concerning the continued strong feelings she holds for her longtime beau.
“I had an amazing three years with him,” she said. “Sometimes things just don’t work out and unfortunately it didn’t work out for us.
“But I don’t have any regrets and I think we’re both in a pretty good place.”
Vonn has spoken highly of Woods since the two split up, so it’s hardly surprising she continues to do so whenever she’s asked about him. And Vonn became very close with Woods’ children during their relationship, hailing the golfer as a terrific father.
The celebrity sports supercouple were frequently spotted at events and tournaments to support the other in competition. But hectic schedules seemed to get in the way, and was cited as the reason behind the breakup.
More salacious rumors, however, surfaced in the wake of the split, with unfounded gossip suggesting Woods had become involved with Amanda Dufner, the ex-wife of fellow PGA Tour star Jason Dufner — something Woods’ agent categorically and vehemently denied.
