Tiger Woods releases a statement, says 'alcohol was not involved' following DUI arrest

Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Monday morning in Jupiter, Florida, according to an online arrest record from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. But he later issued a statement saying that "alcohol was not involved."

"What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescription medications," the statement said. "I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly."

Woods also apologized to his "family, friends and the fans."
