Tiger Woods will let us know when he's ready to play again
Tiger Woods was in Houston on Wednesday to unveil his first designed course, but as nice at it was to listen to him talk about Bluejack National for the first 15 minutes of his press conference, the golf world just wanted to know one thing: When will Tiger’s back allow a comeback?
In typical Tiger fashion, he danced around the subject through a few questions before being more direct in the final answer of the day. It’s great that he is chipping and putting with his kids — a subject Woods addressed on his website earlier Wednesday — but when will he be back to wearing the red polo on Sundays?
“I don’t really know,” said Woods, who admitted he felt a world better than when he last sat in front of reporters at December’s Hero World Challenge, just a few months after September and October surgeries. “This is a different injury than I’ve had in the past. It’s not my knee, where six, nine months and we’re coming back from a total ACL construction.

“When you deal with nerves, there is no timetable. Everyone heals differently. Every nerve is slightly different. That part is probably the most frustrating part of it. There’s no exact timetable for me. I can’t say, ‘Hey, I’m playing next week or I’m playing Houston (March 31 to April 3). I’m playing here, I’m playing there.’ I can’t say any of that. I don’t know. When will I know? I’ll let you know. Because as of right now, I don’t. But I’m in a heck of a lot better place than I was in December. That I do know.”
“I still have to get stronger, more flexible,” he said. “There’s a lot more I have to do before I can even go out there and play with (reporters).”

So we still don’t know when Tiger will play again, but we do know he says he's better off than this:

He got unlucky.
Not to say career's over, but no imminent return.
