A.M. Wahoo's: The World Series is Back in Cleveland
A World Series game is being played in Cleveland for the first time since 1997, and the Cleveland Indians are looking to win the franchise’s first title since 1948.
Well, the day is finally here. October 25, 2016.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be receiving their world championship rings right across the street from the Cleveland Indians, who will be preparing to play in the franchise’s first World Series game since 1997. What a time to be in Cleveland.
The fact the Indians are taking on the Chicago Cubs is truly special, as both teams are looking to end painfully long title droughts. The Cubs are going to gain more fans out of sympathy for not winning a title since 1908, but 1948 was the last time the Indians won, so there is a lot on the line for both teams.
And while the Cubs are favorites, the Indians still have the city of Cleveland behind them. This team has been counted out for months, yet has still found a way to keep winning and ignore the outside noise.
Fans across the nation may be in for a surprise when watching this Indians team, as an early lead will lead to Andrew Miller entering the game, and showing the entire country why he is easily the best pitcher in all of baseball. The Cubs also have to deal with Corey Kluber, so best of luck to them.
