Adam LaRoche's son explains his role in the White Sox clubhouse
Adam LaRoche created a stir when he decided to retire from baseball after the Chicago White Sox asked him to stop bringing his 14-year-old son Drake to the clubhouse daily. On Tuesday, LaRoche and Drake appeared on Good Morning America to discuss his decision, and Drake detailed what he used to do in the clubhouse all day.
ABC News reported that Drake also washed cars, vacuumed and retrieved items from players' lockers for them.
LaRoche told ABC News he wanted to make sure his son knows his retirement from baseball is not Drake's fault.
And while LaRoche forfeited a $13 million paycheck for the upcoming season to retire, it seems as if time with his family is priceless. LaRoche told ABC News that the family is current on an R.V. trip across the country.
