Angels OF Mike Trout shares details of his 'scary' car accident
Angels center fielder Mike Trout was involved in a serious car accident in the Los Angeles area on Wednesday evening. He was unhurt, but one woman was hospitalized with serious injuries.
For the first since the incident, Trout shared some details of the wreck Friday.
Trout said he was on his way home from dinner with some of his teammates after Wednesday’s game when he swerved on the 55 freeway in an attempt to avoid cars that were stopped because of another accident. At that point, he collided with another vehicle. Trout traveled with the Angels to Seattle on Thursday.
The Register notes that Trout can't discuss the accident at length until the investigation concludes, and that he also is expected to reach out to the injured woman at that time.
To no one’s surprise, Trout didn’t miss a beat, homering Friday in his first at-bat in an 11-8 loss to the Mariners:
