Angels' Santiago named to American League All-Star roster

Hector Santiago has had an All-Star caliber season thus far for the Los Angeles Angels, and on Sunday he was rewarded by being named to the roster.
Due to Oakland Athletics ace Sonny Gray pitching on Sunday (and thus being unavailable for the ASG on Tuesday), Santiago was announced to be Gray's fill-in on the AL pitching staff as reported by Jeff Fletcher of the O.C. Register on Twitter.
Santiago has experienced a career turnaround in 2015, going 6-4 with a 2.33 ERA in 17 starts for the Halos.

Fletcher asked Santiago his initial thoughts about then news, to which Santiago replied quite openly:
Exorbitant credit card charges or not, there's no doubt Santiago is thrilled with this development.
