Anthony Rizzo expects Wrigley to be 'louder than ever' for World Series
The Cubs are headed back to Chicago for three games after tying the World Series at a game apiece thanks to Wednesday's 5-1 Game 2 win over the Cleveland Indians.
The win gives the Cubs an opportunity — if they can win each of the next three games — to close out the championship at Wrigley Field for the first time in the 101-year life of a park that hasn't even so much as hosted a World Series game since 1945.
Cubs first-baseman Anthony Rizzo is no stranger to the stakes, and he told our Ken Rosenthal after Wednesday's game that he expects Wrigley to be pumping the decibels.
"Louder than ever," Rizzo said, asked what he thinks the atmosphere will be like. "With (Kyle) Hendricks pitching at home, the fans behind us ... just get out to an early lead and keep it going."
There you have it, Cubs fans. Bring the 'A' game. As if you need anyone to tell you.
