Anthony Rizzo's talents extend far beyond baseball. It turns out the Cubs first baseman can carry a tune, quite well, on the piano.

Rizzo showed off his musical chops in front of teammates on Tuesday, jamming on an electric keyboard before warm-ups at Sloan Park. A few reporters were lucky enough to witness the impromptu gig and captured video of Rizzo playing Adele's hit tune "Hello" with teammates singing along.

The slugger closed his gig with a cover of Train's "Drops of Jupiter," which promoted a loud round of applause and cheers from fellow players.

It was certainly a change of tune for Cubs manager Joe Maddon, who is usually the one providing the entertainment for his players. Maddon has brought in various acts and animals to help lighten the mood around the clubhouse.

"I love the fact that we put him in an uncomfortable and unannounced position, and he came through," Maddon said of Rizzo's performance (via NBCChicago.com). "That's the kind of stuff I really appreciate and respect."
