A's Nunez, Olson to take part in All-Star Futures Game

Two of the Oakland Athletics' top prospects were named to the Futures Game roster on Thursday and will take part in the festivities on Sunday, July 12 - ahead of All-Star Week events at Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park.
First baseman Matt Olson, 21, the club's #1 prospect, and 21-year-old corner infielder Renato Nunez, their #4 prospect, will represent the organization in the game. Olson will play for the U.S. roster, while Nunez will be a part of the World Team roster.

As Jane Lee of MLB.com broke down, Olson, a premier power threat, is hitting .212 with eight home runs and an OBP of .374 with Double-A Midland this season, while Nunez has dealt with an injury-riddled season thus far for the same affiliate.
