Astros' Keuchel named co-Player of the Week in AL
Dallas Keuchel is on top of the baseball world right now.
After starting the All-Star Game for the American League thanks to his gaudy first half numbers, he picked up right where he left off with a seven-inning, 13-strikeout effort against the Texas Rangers on Sunday at Minute Maid Park.
Thanks to his continued heroics, Keuchel was named co-AL Player of the Week on Monday alongside Lorenzo Cain of the Kansas City Royals.

Keuchel already has two AL Pitcher of the Month awards under his belt stemming from his success in April and May, so the awards and accolades just keep on coming for the lefty during his breakout season for the Astros.
As quoted by Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle, Keuchel's manager A.J. Hinch put it bluntly when asked to comment on Keuchel's pitching prowess on Sunday: “That’s our guy. There’s no way around it. He’s been doing it like this the whole year. A couple games where he hasn’t been this dominant. Dallas Keuchel, he’s arrived. He’s a threat every time he goes out to put up a game like this.”
Keuchel is indeed the Astros' main 'guy', and he's a huge reason they're continuing to battle for AL West supremacy.
