Astros star Carlos Correa thinks unwritten rules are killing baseball

Reigning American League Rookie of the Year Carlos Correa believes baseball is stuck in the past --€“ especially the game's unwritten rules.

Correa wrote a first-person piece for Sole Collector, and took aim at the game's eye-for-an-eye mentality.

So you can add Correa, 21, in the same camp as the reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper, who said, "Baseball's tired ... because you can't express yourself."

This seems to be a debate between two vastly different generations of baseball players. Harper, 23, and Correa, 21, want more expression in the game while Hall of Famers like Goose Gossage, Mike Schmidt and Johnny Bench, all of whom have sounded off on the bat-flipping craze, want the game to have more respect.
