Between-innings race ends in a phenomenal fail for Braves fan

It seemed like a great idea at the time. Heck, he even got a lengthy head start. But things didn’t end well for one fan at SunTrust Park on Friday night.

One lucky Braves fan was chosen to beat The Freeze in a race around the warning track between innings. However, The Freeze was much faster than that fan anticipated, and that fan was much more confident than anyone would have advised. And all he got for his trouble was a face full of dirt. Here’s the painful proof:

Memo to the next person who accepts this challenge: Don’t underestimate The Freeze, even on a warm June night in Atlanta.
