Blue Jays' Stroman has personal motto cut into his hair
One's stature does not indicate the size of one's heart.
Although that's a great phrase to live by, it doesn't roll off the tongue as well as Marcus Stroman's motto, "Height doesn't measure heart."
The Toronto Blue Jays starter is undersized for a baseball player, listed at 5-feet-8, but has never let his height determine his fate. Instead, he's used it as a giant chip on his shoulder, proving all the naysayers wrong and excelling at the highest level.
He started hashtagging his motto #HDMH, began putting it on hats and eventually trademarked the phrase.

Before Game 3 of the ALCS against the Kansas City Royals, Stroman took it a step further by cutting "HDMH" into his hair.

That chip on his shoulder helped Stroman rise to the occasion, giving up four runs in 6 1/3 innings in the Blue Jays win on Monday.
