Cardinals get good news on the injury front
The St. Louis Cardinals are getting healthier.
Second baseman Kolten Wong has been cleared and outfielder Matt Holliday may be activated Friday.
"Yesterday and, actually, the night after the game, it all went away," Wong said of any dizziness or headaches to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I kind of knew it wasn't really that bad. It's just one of those things. I felt like I got punched in the face."
As for Holliday, he's been working hard to get back and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him on the field this weekend.
"He's been pushing it from day one," Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said. "We're taking all of the information and making sure that he's taking the proper steps, not rushing it, and not putting himself in a situation where he'd go backward."
