Cleveland Indians' starting rotation makes MLB history
The Indians have a stellar young starting pitching staff, and now they have accomplished a feat that no other team in MLB history has.
When Trevor Bauer recorded his 100th strikeout Wednesday night, it marked the first time in MLB history that four pitchers on the same team have struck out 100 or more batters before the All-Star break.
Corey Kluber's 148 strikeouts currently leads the American League, while Carlos Carrasco is fourth in the league with 115. Danny Salazar ranks sixth with 108 and Bauer's 102 ranks 12th.
As noted by Let's Go Tribe, the Tribe's top four pitchers are on pace for some pretty insane strikeout numbers:
-- Kluber: 285
-- Carrasco: 222
-- Salazar: 208
-- Bauer: 197
The Indians team strikeout total of 782 is the most in all of baseball, with the Los Angeles Dodgers 20 K's behind them with 762.
