Actor-comedian Bob Newhart, a native of Oak Park, Illinois, was 16 years old when the "Curse of the Billy Goat" doomed the team to eternal sadness. If the ninth inning of the NLDS Game 4 is any indication, maybe the baseball gods want some lifelong fans to finally witness the Cubs break through. Those lifers, like Newhart, are waiting and flying the W:
