Cubs' Kyle Hendricks has no-hitter through six innings vs. Cardinals

Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks hasn’t allowed a hit through six innings pitched against the Cardinals. You can follow along here.

The only baserunner for St. Louis came in the second inning, when catcher Yadier Molina drew a walk. They have struck out four times against Hendricks, who has thrown 54 pitches.

The 26-year-old has righthander has been stellar for the Cubs all season, going 14–7 with a league-leading 2.07 ERA in 26 starts.

Hendricks is aiming for the second no-hitter of the season. Two of the last three no-hitters have been thrown by Cubs—Jake Arrieta had them both on Aug. 30, 2015 and April 21 of this year.
